HCUK
Working on projects that positively impact people’s lives is always an honour, and this has certainly been the case with Heartburn Cancer UK (HCUK).
HCUK is a Hampshire-based charity that promotes awareness of oesophageal cancer. This type of cancer is often diagnosed too late for effective treatment, but HCUK’s efforts to highlight early warning signs are making a significant difference in saving lives.
In early 2024, I worked on a project with HCUK, Cyted, The Cleveland Clinic, and The Lanesborough Hotel to host a mobile clinic outside the hotel in London. This clinic operated for a month, testing individuals and diagnosing 10% of those tested with a pre-cancerous condition, allowing for early treatment before cancer developed.
I produced videos leading up to and during this event, and it was incredibly rewarding to see my work contribute to such a life-saving initiative. It’s rare to witness such a tangible return on investment from my work, and being part of this project was truly an honour.
